PERCEPTION

Buddha made a significant contribution to human psychology when he said, "Life is a creation of the mind." Shakespeare put it another way when he said: "There is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so." We’ve put a little twist on a commonly known perception question.

"Is the glass half empty or half full?" is a question often used rhetorically to indicate that a particular situation could be a cause for pessimism or optimism. In general, it is a litmus test to simply determine a person’s worldview. In this instance, once you’ve made your empty-full choice response you will be asked to qualify it a little further. In this last piece of the exercise, we have created a predicament that does not have an obvious means of escape. Imagine you are walking down the road of life and out jumps a bully that stands between you and everything that matters in the world (loved ones, family, job, etc.) What would you do?
